To help develop a concept of money and money management, we will have a mini-economy in our classroom. Students will earn Brunsman Bucks, pay fees, and purchase items with their money.
INCOME
- Students earn $2 per day for their classroom jobs.
- Students earn $3 for 100% on a test.
- Students earn $1 for each set of five colored tickets in the behavior chart.
- Students may earn various amounts of Brunsman Bucks while playing Homeworkopoly.
FINES
- Students are charged $5 for the first homework notice that is sent home. They are charged an additional $5 for each notice sent afterwards.
- Students are charged $5 if another teacher experiences behavior problems with them.
PURCHASES
- Students are given 1 pencil every week. If that pencil is broken or lost, they may buy another pencil for $1.
- A store will be set up in the classroom. Students may purchase items such as pencils, erasers, crackers, etc. with their Brunsman Bucks.
